Episode 81 of the Fit Mother Project Podcast is all about meaningful learning and how to talk to your kids and help them unlock their greatness.

In this episode, you’ll meet CJ Reynolds, who has been a classroom educator for almost 20 years, teaching high school Literature and The History of Hip-Hop in West Philadelphia and Camden, NJ. He is also the author of Teach Your Class Off: The Real Rap Guide to Teaching and the creator of the Real Rap With Reynolds YouTube Channel.

CJ speaks at schools, universities, and conferences all over the United States, and his work focuses on helping schools and their teachers become who they dream of being by creating relevant, engaging, meaningful learning experiences that infuse playfulness, wonder, and fun to create classes that students WANT to be in. His mission is to guide teachers on how to lead their classes with respect, boundaries, and accountability so they can continually be who their students NEED them to be.

You may be wondering why someone like CJ is on a health and fitness podcast, but we had him on for a reason. At the Fit Father and Fit Mother Project, we’re obviously all about family. And, when done right, teachers serve as a secondary layer of parenting. So I wanted to talk to CJ about what he’s seeing in today’s education space and glean some lessons on how to engage kids in learning and self-development.

CJ is passionate about what he does, and he offers some great advice on building relationships and keeping kids interested and invested.
