One such study<\/a> from the J<\/em>ournal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners <\/em>found that study subjects who took psyllium fiber supplements (in doses of 7 grams of fiber daily) lost significant amounts of weight and body fat over a six-month time period \u2014 and showed improvements in blood glucose and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels.<\/p>\n
